As the Associate General Counsel – Compliance, you will join our team as a global legal and compliance leader. We are part of a multinational, fast-paced and engaged legal and compliance team. At ICL the tone at the top is strong and we are committed to doing the right thing. This position reports to the Americas General Counsel and Compliance. ICL has a robust compliance program and you will lead the Global Anti-Bribery and Corruption and Fraud Programs, serving as a leader on the global compliance team, providing regional support in North and South America. You will be responsible for the continuation and improvement of established programs, leading investigations, and providing advice on a variety of compliance topics.  You have a keen eye for risk identification and mitigation and will thrive in a company with a speak-up culture. I’m interested! What will I get to do in this position? 
•    Provide strategic, practical, and actionable compliance advice and guidance to management and operations teams on a broad range of issues. 
•    Serve as a key resource for compliance with internal company policies regarding relevant areas of compliance, fostering a speak-up culture, while proactively identifying and mitigating risks.  
•    Lead and manage team projects.
•    Manage and work with ICL legal compliance team and external counsel on a variety compliance related matters.
•    Conduct internal compliance investigations where needed, working closely with key stakeholders such as internal audit, human resources, and legal team members.
•    Create dynamic and engaging presentations!
•    Technology proficiency and adaptability a must!  Embrace compliance tools such as Navex Risk Rate and Ethicspoint, Microsoft Teams proficiency, Sharepoint, Excel, Powerpoint, and others!
•    Collaborate with global legal team on various projects and strategies.
•    Develop and conduct relevant trainings and educate team members from across different business units and functional areas.
•    Document compliance programs and support corporate reporting of the same.  
•    This position is hybrid, based in St. Louis, with 2 work from home days a week.  

What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role? 

•    Juris Doctorate or LLM from an ABA accredited law school preferred; will consider candidates with relevant experience who do not have Juris Doctorate or LLM 
•    Membership to the Missouri Bar, or eligible and willing to seek admission to the Missouri Bar, preferred.
•    10 years of significant compliance experience; global in-house legal and compliance department environment preferred.
•    5 years of experience advising on Foreign Corrupt Practices, or Anti-Bribery and Corruption laws, in government practice, law firm and/or in-house.
•    Experience conducting compliance investigations and 3rd party due diligence management.
•    Ability to effectively communicate legal and compliance issues verbally and in writing to all levels of the organization.
•    Knowledge and/or experience with all aspects of a robust compliance program including antitrust, data privacy, anti-harassment, human rights, fraud prevention, trade.
•    Experience with compliance policy drafting and implementation.
•    Experience with M&A due diligence compliance advice.
•    Foreign language capabilities are a bonus – particularly Portuguese or Spanish.  
•    Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and focus on critical priorities independently.
•    Experience leading projects and driving them to completion.
•    Strong business ethics, integrity and executive presence.
•    Ability to think critically and resolve complex compliance issues.
•    Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.
•    Foreign travel experience preferred.
