2024 Tapestry Internship Program Overview:

 

Our 10-week Summer 2024 Internship Program will give undergraduates, masters students, recent graduates and those actively enrolled in a specialized/technical certification program the opportunity to develop critical skillsets and gain hands-on experience at our house of modern luxury lifestyle brands. There will be internship opportunities available at Coach, kate spade, Stuart Weitzman and within our Tapestry Functional Groups.  

 

Program Dates: June 4th, 2024 - August 9th, 2024 

Work structure: Hybrid (Tuesday-Thursday in office) 

Location: New York City offices  

Compensation: $20/hour

Here is what to expect from the recruitment process: 

  • Final Zoom Interviews – Applicants selected for follow up phone or video interviews will be contacted throughout February. Please monitor your emails, and interviews will be scheduled based on candidate availability. 

  • Internship Offers – Offers will be extended by the Internship recruitment team in mid to late March. 

 

Tapestry Internship Position Details: 

 

The UX design team works on ecommerce website enhancements that millions of users engage with daily. All projects involve cross-functional collaboration to quickly incubate, test, and validate design solutions on a weekly basis. The intern will be design support for two business initiatives: Adaptable Experiences (Learning sprint prototypes) and 10x (Design handoff for AB tests). Below are a few example tasks:

  • Participate in ideation sessions with Product Manager, User Research, and Lead Designer to incubate design solutions that address business and customer needs.
  • Use Figma to quickly design and prototype mobile-optimized design concepts to validate in weekly user research sessions (Learning Sprints).
  • Co-present design solutions to leadership and articulate design rationale —leveraging analytics data, user research findings, UX best practices, and human-centered design principles.
  • Observe user research sessions to gather design feedback.
  • Prepare design files for AB testing. Once designs are validated and receive brand approval, final designs are created in Figma and added to Jira Tickets.

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience using Figma to design & prototype mobile experiences (apps or websites)
    • Experience designing e-commerce shopping experiences preferred
    • Familiar with HTML/CSS
  • Portfolio with 2-3 case studies demonstrating UX understanding and UI design abilities.
    • Demonstrates attention to design details
  • Has a foundational graphic design or UX design background
    • Pursuing a BFA, BA or Master's; Majors in Human-Centered Design, UX Design, Graphic Design, or Fine Arts.
  • The ability to explain complex concep
