The Sr. Strategic Sourcing Analyst is responsible for overseeing the planning and purchasing process for direct material commodities, as well as supporting new product launches. They establish relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers, support analysis for commercial negotiations and contracts, and ensure compliance with supply chain budgetary requirements. Additionally, they may be involved in maintaining data integrity, optimizing supply chain processes, and analyzing supplier performance.
Responsibilities
The sourcing analyst has responsibility for
- Facilitate and align Global Strategic Sourcing Team in annual AOP (budget) process
- Support and/or lead analysis to support key RFP processes or targeted negotiations
- Facilitate Price Purchase Variance forecasting and reconciliation including invoice resolution
- Support monthly group required reporting and presentation decks
- Support Category Leaders with strategy development and execution including project hopper maintenance, process cost optimization tracking and reporting
- Support Should Costing, Total Cost of Ownership and other cost modeling tools in support of identified supply chain projects
- Facilitate and support the annual costing process and annual cost roll for the Global Strategic Supply Team
- Support alignment with stakeholders to gain a comprehensive understanding of business requirements and ensure that supply chain value delivery is understood
- Participate on cross functional teams responsible for developing Request for Information (RFI's), Request for Proposals (RFP's), source plans, service contracts, supply agreements and CAPEX Authorization Process
- Facilitate with Category Leaders, Managers and Director to support development and implementation of continuous improvement projects
- Map processes, as required, and develop process cost analysis in conjunction with Category Leaders
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferred Finance, Data Science, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Accounting, Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of related work experience
- Experience with reporting and analysis, preferred experience with Power BI, ERP, Cloud Based Applications, AI
- Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills, is detailed-oriented
- Understanding of and experience with strategic sourcing
