This role will be part of Treasury and Trade Solutions Central Governance, Risk & Issue Management team supporting the execution of TTS’ Third Party Management (TPM) Risk program across products and clusters. The TTS In Business Risk Coordinator ensures a robust execution of TPM oversight activities, working with Product and Cluster team to drive compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and law in alignment with the direction provided by the Enterprise Third Party Risk Management team. Oversight activities are based on risk level of the third party and of the processes that the third party executes. They span the entire lifecycle of third-party risk management, and include:
Main responsibilities
- Executes TTS Third party program strategy and priorities for consistent robust risk management approach across products and regions.
- Support Third Party Officers and BAOs in TPM process across lifecycle phases, in particular, support in the identification of risks, design of controls to mitigate said risks and appropriate escalation.
- Oversight of TTS’ Inter-Affiliate program providing guidance to TPOs and in business risk, monitoring compliance to policy, procedures and escalating as needed.
- Coordinate Enterprise TPM requirements across TTS including non-compliant spend reviews & concentration risk reviews, and other special projects.
- Represent TTS on third party enterprise working groups and other forums.
- Coordinate global TPM audits or exams with TPOs across product and clusters.
- Monitor TPM metrics, reporting & dashboard for control completion or results outside of thresholds inclusive of risk assessment and data discrepancies, past due activities, Quality assurance outcomes, aged onboarding. Work with TPOs and BAOs to action required activities and remediate identified risks.
- Summarize TPM KIs and provides periodic updates to Enterprise TPM team with actions plans for path to green.
- Produce and review monthly TPM MCA performance and adherence to standard content. Works with Product and cluster teams to drive improvements and standard adoption.
- Track issue management discipline for CAPs involving third parties.
- Produce governance forum materials covering key TPM risk topics, identifying risk themes, escalation topics and provide summarizing Risk appetite, metrics, trends, Operational Risk Events (OREs), Issues, Managers Control Assessment (MCA) etc.
- Monitors and action BAO coverage and seniority.
- Track and report on Contract deviation review process
- Drive accuracy and consistent application of TP-RAP (risk assessments) across TTS including periodic quality reviews and remediation where needed.
- Escalate emerging or significant risk as appropriate.
- Provide timely updates on control environment, MCA and TPM to governance forums.
- Follow up on action items or plans.
- Help identify areas where additional focus or controls are needed based upon monitoring Third Party Program
- Project manage key enterprise or TTS TPM initiative, collaborating across product and cluster teams and with key partners for accurate and timely completion.
Qualifications & Education
- 5+ years’ experience in third party risk, vendor management and controls processes or similar function
- 10+ years of direct, relevant experience in financial service operations, control, compliance, audit, or regulatory management.
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent years of relevant experience, master’s degree preferred and managerial experience
- Project management and governance experience with proven ability to develop project plans and drive a diverse group of stakeholders to achieve milestones and deadlines.
- Superior organizational skills, with proven ability to successfully manage concurrent priorities. Self-motivated with a passion for establishing and maintaining a culture of control.
- Ability to build & leverage partnerships across businesses and key functional support areas like Enterprise Third Party Risk Management, Information Security, Sourcing, Audit, Compliance, Control, CAO, and Independent Risk.
- Demonstrated ability to influence a group of diverse stakeholders, driving accountability.
- Detail oriented, with proven ability to question and identify opportunities within existing processes and business practices. Six sigma or other relevant training is a plus.
- Problem-solver and creative thinker with strong judgment and critical thinking skills, comfortable with raising constructive challenge and flexible in developing balanced solutions.
- Executive communication and presentation skills, equally comfortable with strategic discussions with senior audience as with detailed assessment with subject matter experts.
