About the role

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Drive the design, development, and implementation of software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Lead code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Lead design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Data Engineering, or related field of study plus 4 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Full Stack Engineer, Technical Lead, Lead Consultant, Software Developer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Data Engineering, or related field of study plus 6 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Full Stack Engineer, Technical Lead, Lead Consultant, Software Developer, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Leading and managing software development projects using Agile methodologies, ensuring iterative progress and continuous delivery of high-quality software; designing and implementing scalable and resilient microservices, ensuring seamless integration and communication between services; developing and maintaining real-time data streaming applications using Apache Kafka, focusing on message brokering and stream processing; building robust and scalable enterprise applications using Java and J2EE technologies, with a focus on object-oriented programming and design patterns; performing data processing and analytics using Python and Apache Spark, leveraging distributed computing for large-scale data sets; designing and deploying cloud-based solutions using AWS services, focusing on scalability, security, and cost optimization; containerizing applications using Docker to ensure consistent environments across development, testing, and production; implementing continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins to automate build, test, and deployment processes; utilizing the Spring framework to develop enterprise-level applications, emphasizing dependency injection and aspect-oriented programming; designing and optimizing complex database queries and perform data manipulation using SQL for relational database management systems; deploying and managing Java-based web applications on Apache Tomcat, ensuring high availability and performance; designing and implementing RESTful and SOAP-based web services for seamless integration with external systems; managing project dependencies and build processes using Maven, ensuring efficient project configuration and management; orchestrating containerized applications using Kubernetes, focusing on scaling, load balancing, and automated deployment; analyzing and visualizing machine-generated data using Splunk, Datadog, Dynatrace, focusing on log management and operational intelligence; managing source code versioning and collaboration using GIT, ensuring efficient branching and merging strategies; developing and executing behavior-driven development (BDD) tests using Cucumber, ensuring alignment with business requirements; writing and executing unit tests using JUnit to ensure code quality and reliability; designing and implementing automated testing frameworks to ensure comprehensive test coverage and efficient regression testing; conducting functional testing to validate software functionality against specified requirements; and developing and executing unit tests to verify the smallest testable parts of an application for correctness.

Full-Time. Salary:  $151,600.00-$185,000.00 per year.
