About the role

As a Senior Accountant – Treasury, you will oversee various accounting functions as part of the Controllership team including the North America corporate treasury function as well as associated legal entity analysis and reporting. This role will be involved in driving continuous improvement and implementing best practices across the organization. The Senior Accountant will collaborate with accounting professionals and serve as a transformational leader ensuring that the organization is following best in class digital solutions. 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares journal entries related to cash, external debt, interest, deferred financing, intercompany, and foreign exchange and assists the accounting team with month-end close.
  • Prepares schedules and provides accounting data to support annual audit as well as other monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, statements, and filings for a variety of key company stakeholders. 
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams including finance, tax, legal, and treasury to support tax initiatives, acquisitions, and business conversions.
  • Serves as the finance business partner for the treasury organization. 
  • Supports multi-year accounting projects and initiatives by participating in global process design sessions and goal deployment. 
  • Analyze accounts and review general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Researches and explains general ledger account variances to trend and prior year.
  • Interacts and supports internal and external auditors in completing audits.
  • Drives continuous process improvements which includes standardizing, automating and enhancing processes.
  • Ensures compliance with company corporate policies and procedures, GAAP, and SOX standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required
  • CIMA/ACA/ACCA/ICAEW/CPA qualified preferred
  • 3 years required, 5 years preferred, of accounting experience
  • 2+ years of public accounting experience, Big 4 or other national firm experience preferred 
  • Working knowledge of Oracle, FCCS, or equivalent ERP system preferred
  • Knowledge of GAAP, financial statements, internal controls and SOX requirements
  • Ability to work under tight time schedules and to handle multiple tasks
  • Able to adapt to new responsibilities with an agile mindset
  • Accounting theory, and application of principles and practices
  • Principles and practices of financial record keeping and reporting
  • Analysis and interpretation of complex financial and statistical data
  • Assembly and preparation of data for reports
  • Strong office and computer skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to prepare, examine, and verify financial reports
  • Able to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
  • Able to research and analyze varieties of information

This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements.
