Who we are looking for:
The Auction Experience Specialist is responsible for ensuring vehicles and their assigned auction lanes are fully prepared for sale day while delivering a high-quality customer experience for dealers and internal teams. This role serves as a central point of coordination across customer service, sales, lane operations, and lot services to drive efficient auction readiness, accurate vehicle flow, and prompt resolution of service issues.
The Specialist proactively manages vehicle status, lane organization, and customer communication to ensure smooth auction operations and strong customer satisfaction.
What you will do:
Auction Readiness & Operations
• Own the readiness of assigned vehicles and auction lanes, ensuring all processing, inspections, repairs, documentation, and placement are completed prior to sale day
• Coordinate vehicle assignments and oversee lane flow to maintain organization, efficiency, and visibility during auctions
• Verify vehicle data including VINs, mileage, condition reports, and sale-line accuracy to ensure operational integrity
• Identify missing or delayed vehicles and proactively resolve issues with recon, lot operations, and sales teams
• Monitor auction-day operations to ensure safety, readiness standards, and smooth workflow
Customer Experience & Communication
• Act as a primary contact for dealers, providing timely updates on vehicle status, readiness, and service needs
• Resolve customer concerns quickly by coordinating solutions across departments
• Educate customers on auction services, products, and processes to improve participation and satisfaction
• Follow up to confirm service expectations are met and issues are fully resolved
Process & Accountability
• Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and system updates related to vehicle flow and service actions
• Ensure compliance with auction procedures, safety policies, and operational standards
• Support and guide lane staff as needed to maintain efficient operations
What you will need:
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Automotive auction, vehicle operations, or customer service experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of auction processes and vehicle preparation workflows
• Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving abilities
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• High attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency with basic computer systems and Microsoft Office (Excel preferred)
