Job Overview

The Department of Biostatistics, Health Informatics and Data Sciences (BHIDS) has strong ties with world-class biostatistics, bioinformatics, clinical informatics, statistical genetics, and health IT groups at UC, CCHMC, and UC Health. This environment provides rich collaborative opportunities in data science and its implementation with a focus on comparative effectiveness, patient-centered outcome research, performance improvement, decision support, translational medicine, and bioinformatics.
The Department of Biostatistics, Health Informatics and Data Sciences is seeking a Lecturer to teach Introduction to Database Systems and Applications starting in the Fall 2025 Semester. This position supports the University of Cincinnati's mission and commitment to excellence in our students, faculty, staff, and all of our activities.
Essential Functions
- Conduct and teach assigned undergraduate and/or graduate-level courses and seminars.
- Attend meetings, participate in governance, prepare materials for teaching.
- Evaluate and develop curriculum for department and/or college.
Required Education
Appropriate academic degree related to department specifications and prior academic experience.
Required Experience
Demonstrated excellence in teaching and research evidenced by peer reviews and publications.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
- Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
