Pharmacy Technician Student - Med Surg Pharmacy - Full Time - Rotating

Assists Pharmacists with duties and responsibilities as permitted by the State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy and under supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.

Accepts new written, faxed, or electronic prescription orders from a prescriber or a prescriber’s agent. Enters information into and retrieves information from a database or patient profile in Epic. Prepares and affixes labels. Stocks dangerous drugs and retrieves those drugs from inventories. Counts and pour dangerous drugs into containers prior to dispensing by pharmacist. Packages dangerous drugs to a patient or patient representative Other duties as assigned and allowed by scope of practice by the Ohio Board of Pharmacy. Actively working to pursue PTCB Certification or enrolled in Pharmacy Tech University through The Network.

EDUCATION:     High school diploma required.
