Lead Counsel, AI Partnerships

Meta is seeking a talented technology transactions attorney to work on our Artificial Intelligence (AI) Partnerships legal team. This role's primary function is to support a broad range of technology transactions focused on Meta’s AI research, products and services. You will join a growing team of technology deal lawyers working on fast-paced and exciting projects.

The specific areas of focus and responsibilities will change based on company priorities, new legal issues and the regulatory and competitive ecosystem.Lead Counsel, AI Partnerships Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and day-to-day support to internal stakeholders.
• Serve as subject matter expert on artificial intelligence technology transactions.
• Draft, negotiate and close artificial intelligence transactions of various complexity.
• Actively participate on cross-functional teams.

Minimum Qualifications

• J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent)
• Active membership in at least one US state bar and eligibility to obtain registered in-house counsel status (if required by the State Bar in the assigned work location)
• 5+ years of legal experience as a practicing attorney, including at a law firm and/or in-house
• Demonstrate business judgment and client counseling experience
• Experience drafting complex technology licensing agreements and technology transaction counseling experience
• Effective communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working proactively, independently and reliably under tight timelines in a fast-paced environment
• Experience collaborating at all levels of the business across functions, including leadership and C-suite
• Experience working on AI transactions

$167,000/year to $233,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
