OVERVIEW
Marathon Petroleum Company’s Illinois Refining Division in Robinson, IL is seeking a Routine Maintenance Planner. The Routine Maintenance Planner will report to the Planning Manager and will be responsible for planning electrical work packages, developing detailed work scopes, preparing cost and man-hour estimates, requisitioning materials & contributing to maintenance productivity by ensuring maintenance work is planned safely, efficiently, and effectively.
Relocation is approved for this position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for reviewing and processing work notifications into work orders ensuring proper authorization, priority, completeness, accuracy and determines craft skills needed, sequence of work to be performed and estimates man hours, material, tools, and equipment needed.
Develops detailed work packages, procures materials, allocates resources and rental equipment needed for the job.
Facilitates planning deliverables for work practices (i.e., RSP-1400).
Leads backlog reviews and collaborate with Area Team on priority and accuracy.
Ensures Quality Control requirements are included in work planning.
Ensures proper expense class allocation consistent with the Cost Consistency practice.
Collaborates with Project Controls for proper cost forecasting and budget compliance.
Collaborates with Area Teams on KPI reviews and improvement ideas.
Ensures Safety, PSM, and Environmental compliance dates are met.
Supports PSM processes such as MOC and incident investigations.
Plans and coordinates the development of work orders with operating unit leadership for facilities in assigned area.
Consults engineers prior to any field changes in design, or specifications and requests changes in procedure to complete work.
Inspects completed work and ensures closeout processes are followed.
