Your Team, Your Impact
As the Senior Director of EDA Infrastructure within Marvell Technology's Central Engineering group, you will lead a global team responsible for managing and optimizing the Electronic Design Automation (EDA) infrastructure that underpins our semiconductor design and development processes. Your leadership will ensure that Marvell's engineering teams have access to robust, efficient, and scalable EDA tools and compute resources, directly influencing the company's ability to deliver cutting-edge semiconductor solutions.What You Can Expect
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive EDA infrastructure strategy that aligns with Marvell's business objectives and technological roadmap.
- Resource Management: Oversee the acquisition, deployment, and maintenance of EDA tools licenses, ensuring compliance and optimal utilization across the organization.
- Compute Infrastructure Oversight: Manage compute resources, including servers and storage systems, to support EDA tools and workflows, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with IT, engineering, and CAD teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of EDA tools within Marvell's design environment.
- Process Optimization: Implement and maintain automation scripts to streamline EDA tool management and resource allocation, enhancing efficiency and reducing time-to-market.
- Vendor Relations: Evaluate and recommend new EDA tools and technologies, fostering strong relationships with EDA vendors to stay abreast of industry advancements.
- Training and Support: Provide technical guidance and training to engineering teams on EDA tools and best practices, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for EDA tools and infrastructure processes to ensure knowledge retention and facilitate onboarding.
What We're Looking For
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: A minimum of 15 years in EDA infrastructure management or related roles within the semiconductor industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity overseeing global teams.
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of EDA tools from vendors such as Cadence, Synopsys, and Mentor Graphics. Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Perl, or Shell for automation purposes.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams across multiple geographies, demonstrating strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving infrastructure challenges.
- Strategic Vision: Ability to align EDA infrastructure initiatives with broader organizational goals, driving innovation and operational excellence.
Expected Base Pay Range (USD)
197,490 - 295,800, $ per annumThe successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
