About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate Trainer & Assessor - Nursing to join our Nursing Faculty at the Mirrabooka Campus. In this role, you will guide aspiring nurses through engaging classroom teaching, practical skills training, and clinical preparation. You’ll play an important part in delivering programs that meet ASQA and ANMAC standards, while mentoring students to succeed both academically and professionally.

Responsibilities

• Deliver theory and practical lessons aligned with the Diploma of Nursing curriculum

• Assess student competencies in line with industry and regulatory standards

• Provide constructive feedback, guidance, and mentorship to learners

• Update and develop training materials to reflect current industry practice and compliance requirements

• Support students in preparing for clinical placements and workplace learning

• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with ASQA, ANMAC, and NMBA standards

• Contribute to continuous improvement and faculty innovation

What You Bring

• Current registration with NMBA as a Registered Nurse

• Diploma of Nursing (or higher) plus Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40122)

• Recent clinical experience in the Australian healthcare setting

• Experience in nursing education, training, or assessment within an RTO or higher education environment

• Strong knowledge of ASQA, ANMAC, NMBA, and RTO compliance requirements

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to support and inspire diverse learners

• Confidence using LMS platforms, digital tools, and blended delivery methods

• Current Working with Children Check, National Police Clearance, and relevant immunisations

• Commitment to professional development and maintaining industry currency

• CPR/First Aid certification and experience supporting students in clinical placements (highly regarded)
