Purpose:

The purpose of this position is to provide comprehensive career development and support for social work students and alumni throughout their professional journey. As a key member of the DiNitto Career Center, the Career Success Coordinator will serve as a critical resource in guiding students and graduates through strategic career planning, professional skill development, and successful transition into the social work job market.

Responsibilities:

Career Advising & Student Support

• Provide one-on-one career coaching and mentorship to students and alumni, guiding them through career exploration, job search strategies, and professional development.
• Offer resume, cover letter, and interview preparation support, with a focus on both traditional and non-traditional social work career paths.
• Assist students in navigating licensing requirements and professional standards.
• Provide undergrad students with guidance on Service-Learning process, including agency selection, volunteer hour tracking, and professional communication with agencies.

Workshops, Program & Event Coordination

• Develop, coordinate, and facilitate career-related workshops, events, and networking opportunities in collaboration with faculty, alumni, and industry professionals i.e. career fairs, Service-Learning fairs, career exploration workshops, career readiness workshops, etc.
• Manage writing support initiatives, including individual coaching on resumes, research statements, and grant applications.
• Develop asynchronous learning content for students through video and Canvas course page.

Data & Operations Management

• Collect and analyze student and alumni employment outcomes to inform career services and alumni relations initiatives.
• Maintain and update career resources, including handouts, online content, and learning modules.
