Senior Technician, Maintenance

Location: Belvidere, NJ

Monday – Friday (7:00AM – 3:30pm)

As a Senior Technician, you will be responsible for performing specialized predictive and preventive maintenance equipment inspections; troubleshooting; plans, installs and/or modified plant equipment and related systems in accordance with Key Performance measures, Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety/regulatory requirements, and divisional goals.  Performs corrective and preventive work orders throughout the plant. 

Assigned responsibility is for various equipment plant-wide including, gear boxes, air locks, pumps, blowers, conveyors. Ability to assist with repairs and troubleshoot piping systems, piping components.  Emergency and call-in support is required along with adherence to maintenance work process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fill out and review work permit in conjunction with operation personnel prior to starting a job.
• Ensure all lockout – tagout procedures are followed.
• Locate equipment problems and discuss potential causes.
• Recommend practical solutions of technical causes.
• Diagnose problems and repair blowers, pumps, airlocks, gearboxes, conveyors, valve installation, pipe welding is a plus, threading and installation.  Use of laser alignment tools is preferred.
• Repair damages and defects to equipment as per technical instructions and discuss.
• Additional responsibilities as defined and provided by leadership.

You Bring:

• A High School Diploma or GED is required. A technical school education in a mechanical discipline is preferred.
• Ability to diagnose problems, repair blowers, pumps, air locks, gear boxes, conveyors, prefabrication and installation of piping, valves and pipe threading.
• Ability to provide emergencies and call in support as required.

The salary or hourly wage scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. Hourly range: $35.00 - $40.00.
