To strengthen our Technical & Manufacturing Process Innovation Team, based in Limelette, Belgium, we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of Junior CO2 Technology Engineer (VIE).

As a Junior CO2 Technology Engineer (VIE), you will be part of the team to define and develop CO2 capture projects for the different production plants of Lhoist. The position offers a unique opportunity to be part of the decarbonisation transition of the lime industry.
Your role and responsibilities:
Technology assessment for Carbon Capture technologies based on adsorption, absorption, membranes, cryogenic technologies, …
Follow-up of existing and emerging technologies
Technology benchmarking
Project initiation in view of upcoming funding programs
Follow up of ongoing projects at different levels: development stage, pilot unit stage as well as large-scale implementation to support our entity in France
Process Engineering and simulations (Hysys) with focus on high pressure and low temperature gas and liquids processing
About you:
Master’s Degree in Chemical, Process, Environmental Engineering or equivalent engineering degrees. Technical background, interest in gas and liquids engineering.
Analytical mindset, go beyond and build-up attitude, self-challenger, great team spirit
Ability to execute and relate with the big picture.
Proficient on MS Excel and any additional knowledge in data tools.
You are eager to learn from the experts around you and be autonomous when necessary.
You have full professional proficiency in English. French or another language is a plus.
