What the role is about:
We are seeking a dependable and hands-on Production Technician Lead to support the daily operations of our production team. In this role, you’ll serve as a peer leader—guiding Production Technicians, assisting with training, and helping to ensure that day-to-day activities in trimming, curing, and packaging run smoothly.
The ideal candidate is quality-driven, detail-oriented, and eager to support their team while maintaining compliance with internal SOPs and state regulations.
This position reports to the Production Supervisor and serves as a key link between frontline employees and site leadership.
What impact you’ll make:
Serve as a lead resource for Production Technicians across daily operations including trimming, drying, curing, and packaging of cannabis flower
Assist with task delegation and day-to-day coordination under the direction of the Production Supervisor
Train and onboard new team members, reinforcing SOPs, safety procedures, and quality standards
Perform quality checks and help ensure all products meet visual and compliance standards
Provide real-time coaching and guidance to peers, promoting teamwork and operational efficiency
Support accurate data entry and recordkeeping for product weights, waste, and batch tracking
Promote a clean, safe, and compliant work environment through active participation in sanitation and housekeeping
Act as a communication bridge between production staff and leadership by relaying concerns, improvement ideas, and operational updates
Assist with maintaining inventory of production supplies and alerting leadership to shortages or maintenance needs
Step in to perform technician-level tasks as needed to maintain workflow
High school diploma or equivalent required.
1+ year experience in a cannabis, agricultural, or manufacturing production environment.
Previous peer leadership or mentoring experience strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of cannabis processing, trimming, drying, and/or packaging preferred.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork.
Proficient in basic Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Able to work in a fast-paced, physical environment with frequent standing, bending, and lifting up to 40 lbs.
Flexible to work various shifts including weekends if needed.
