Senior Database Engineer

Who you are: 

• A Database Developer with 4+ years of experience with Relational Database technologies.
• Someone with advanced knowledge of Relational Database Management System concepts. 
• Able to show working experience with PL/SQL Development.
• A seasoned engineer with experience working with Agile Methodologies.
• A programmer with extensive experience working with SQL/ANSI.  
• An excellent communicator with a track record of working with stored procedure development and SQL performance tuning.
• An Database Development expert with a strong understanding of Database Triggers, Database Tuning, and Database Schema.
• Intermediate level knowledge of MongoDB or NoSQL.
• A developer with experience working with Python. 

What you will do:

• Own Sybase, DB2, & MS-SQL database plans.
• Be responsible for developing and maintaining database components. 
• Work with applicational development teams to perform analysis and design. 
• Perform database hygiene issues and undertake performance tuning.
• Document technical requirements and solutions. 

It would be awesome if you had:

• A great understanding of Data Analysis.
• A background working with DevOps methodologies on a Data Engineering team.
• Experience working within the Financial Services Industry.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies (Azure, GCP, AWS).
• Exposure to Snowflake, Apache Spark, Informatica, or IBM WebSphere MQ.
• Knowledge of Apache Kafka).
