As our Senior Systems Engineer, you’ll support HID’s success by:
- Engaging in the design, deployment, and maintenance of server, storage, and cloud infrastructure across production and non-production environments.
- Monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing system performance, ensuring high availability and adherence to SLAs.
- Building and maintaining automation for system provisioning, configuration management, monitoring, and incident handling.
- Serving as an escalation point for complex operational issues, driving root-cause analysis and long-term remediation.
- Developing and maintaining detailed system architecture documentation, runbooks, and operational standards.
- Implementing and managing robust backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.
- Collaborating closely with Security, DevOps, Network Engineering, and Application teams to ensure end‑to‑end platform stability.
- Driving lifecycle management for infrastructure components, including patching, upgrades, and capacity planning.
- Participating in the on-call rotation and leading response efforts during major incidents.
- Evaluating and recommending new technologies, tools, and processes to continuously improve operational maturity.
- Designing and deploying new infrastructure solutions.
- Automating workflows, provisioning, and system management tasks.
- Leading root‑cause analysis and driving long‑term remediation strategies.
- Collaborating with cross‑functional teams for projects and platform improvements.
- Evaluating and recommending new technologies and tools.
- Supporting SAFe/Agile ceremonies and contributing to iterative delivery cycles.
- Participating in capacity planning and infrastructure roadmap development.
Your Experience and Background include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
