About the role

The Senior Analyst, reporting to the VP of Hospital Financial Operations, provides analytical support to the Revenue Integrity and Health Plan Contracting functions through project management, data and financial analyses, health plan contract process management, and assistance with chargemaster, charge capture and pricing projects. Will support both the Vice President of Revenue Integrity, Vice President of Health Plan Contracting, and other assignments as directed by the VP Hospital Financial Operations.

Major Responsibilities

  • Health Plan Contracting:
    • Serve as a resource on managed care matters to hospital personnel
    • Model the impact of proposed rates and terms and present to hospital and corporate management prior to contract finalization
    • Assist in negotiations with payers regarding terms and rates and preparec ontracts for final signature
    • Periodically review hospitals monthly contractual adjustment computations for accuracy and compliance with policies
    • Audit payments received from managed care companies to ensure accuracy at each hospital against contract terms
    • Complete credentialing and re-credentialing applications for client hospitals
    • Assist in the maintenance of various databases of contract information
  • Revenue Integrity
    • Serve as a resource to research charge compliance related from hospital personnel.
    • Assist on chargemaster code compliance review projects by preparing and analyzing data, conducting meetings with hospital department managers and creating final work products.
    • Perform data analyses and manipulation related to strategic pricing projects.
    • Assist in conducting current state charge capture assessments and documenting accordingly.
    • Perform the research and functions necessary to assist hospitals in maintaining compliance with quarterly and annual code updates.
  • Financial Analysis
    • Support for monthly operating report preparation using the Cognos Tool.
    • Support for maintenance and ad hoc analysis using the CHC Productivity Tool.
    • Periodic support for CHC client hospitals with financial analytical needs.
    • Other data and analytical tasks as assigned by the VP of Hospital Financial Operations.
  • General Duties

    • Perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by the Vice President of Revenue Integrity and the Vice President of Health Plan Contracting.

Requirements

Experience/Education

  • BBA or BS Degree
  • Five or more years experience in healthcare financial operations.
  • Health plan contracting and chargemaster and/or coding experience preferred.
  • Experience in completing moderately complex data analyses required.
