ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide elite customer service by efficiently processing orders and greeting customers in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Communicate with customers or a regular basis to ensure needs are being met, asking pertinent open-ended questions and providing information as needed.
  • Communicate with technicians and retail customer to ensure the correct part(s) are being ordered.
  • Drive sales through customer engagement, suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledge.
  • Follow processes and record departmental data as needed.
  • Promptly answer phones in a professional and pleasant manner.
  • Follow-up on customer orders and resolve problems until satisfactory.
  • Share regular updates with customers and associates.
  • Regular communication, conflict resolution and sound decision making.
  • Share any relevant policies and/or procedures regarding purchases, returns, credit terms, etc., with customers.
  • Escort customers through the facility.
  • Maintain familiarity with all inventory products, merchandising programs and ordering systems.
  • Data entry and retrieval on computer systems, including; entering customer orders, branch transfers, obtaining quote information, inventory information and pricing.
  • Utilize and maintain any parts technical resources with the most up-to-date information.
  • Understand dealership credit policies.
  • Set an example of professionalism and positivity.
  • Maintain a neat, orderly and safe work environment.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

  • Activities require a full range of motion including handling, lifting, manual dexterity, finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. 
  • This position may require standing, balancing, bending or stooping for prolonged periods of time.
  • This position may require the occasional ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 80 pounds.
  • This position requires corrected vision and hearing within normal range.
  • This position requires the ability to work under stressful conditions or irregular hours.
  • This position will require lift truck certification and basic knowledge of warehousing equipment.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's License and MVR in good standing.
  • Prior experience selling trucks parts, automotive parts or RV parts.
  • General knowledge of computers.
  • Knowledge of diesel engines, gas engines, drive train, and suspensions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to provide outstanding customer service.
  • Detail-Oriented
  • Ability to understand vague and implicit instructions and react favorably in varying situations.

  • Ability to make decisions under pressure

  • Ability to give, receive and analyze information.

  • Ability to successfully complete a general abilities assessment and pass a post-offer background check, physical and drug screening.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Prior parts experience within a similar industry.
