The Boeing CompanyBoeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Senior Quality Manager (Level L) to join our Composite Manufacturing Center (CMC) team based in Puyallup, Washington.
The Senior Quality Manager will lead the Fabrication Quality Composites team and integrate quality assurance activities across multiple Fabrication and Manufacturing Business Units. Driving data‑driven decisions and corrective actions to reduce defects, strengthen production quality, and ensure strict regulatory and operational compliance.
The selected candidate will provide transformational leadership to implement Quality Improvement initiatives—using Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Six Sigma, and One Boeing Production System principles—while championing advanced process oversight, new technologies, and resilient change management in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Position Responsibilities:
- Manages employees and first-level managers performing management activities across multiple (2 or more) Quality Management Job Families.
- Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies.
- Provides education and coaching on the Quality System.
- Acquires and manages resources and leads process improvements.
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports.
- Manages, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 5+ years of experience in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Quality, or experience in a regulated industry.
- 5+ years of experience in a leadership role leading teams, initiatives, or projects that demonstrated improvement to cost and quality and the ability to influence change
- 5+ years of experience in a Quality Assurance role.
- 5+ years of experience in communicating and/or coaching operators, peers and leadership on various aspects of a quality system (associated with engineering, operations, or quality)
- 3+ years of experience with organizational and team building skills performed in a cross-functional environment.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Experience in Lean manufacturing, six sigma, and structured problem-solving
- Experience interacting with Regulatory agencies and processes
- Experience with industry approaches to quality improvement
- Process Oversight methods and advanced product verification methods
- Experience utilizing Quality Management Systems (QMS)

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range: $143,650 – $194,350
