Your Responsibilities

 

As a Software Engineer for the John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group on the License Management team located in Chicago, IL, you will...

 

• Be on a team of passionate developers and testers to design, develop, test, and integrate applications of high complexity. We operate in a collaborative, open environment focused on using Agile development techniques to autonomously deliver solutions quickly and effectively.
• Engage in Agile software development activities, including sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives and hackathons
• Collaborate with other teams to help drive alignment and understanding of requirements and dependencies
• Establish a culture of software crafting best practices including Test Automation, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Deployment

What Skills You Need

 

• Experience with building UI or REST API using Java, JavaScript, React.js, or Node.js
• Experience with XP Practices (TDD, ATDD, Continuous Delivery, Continuous Integration)
• Experience working on a team developing software leveraging Agile delivery methodologies
• Experience with Dev Ops tools and technologies like Drone/Jenkins
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

What Makes You Stand Out

 

• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Experience working with cross functional teams
• Experience with cloud computing platforms such as Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure

Education

 

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

 

• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering, Science or Technology related discipline
