Area Technical Lead, Google Cloud Business Platform

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience with full stack software development, across back-end such as Java, Python, or GO and front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent.
• 5 years of experience with design and architecture, testing/launching software products and translating high-level business requirements into detailed technical roadmaps and architectural blueprints.
• Experience in designing and building Agents leveraging LLMs to transform various business processes in enterprise applications.
• Experience building enterprise software systems influencing data and system architecture.
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform services and technologies.
• Experience communicating technical strategies and trade-offs to executive leadership and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in specific enterprise domains such as sales automation, order management, billing, or financial systems.
• Experience mentoring executive engineers and fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation within a broader engineering organization.
• Excellent problem solver that can turn ambiguous problem spaces into clear solutions; comfort with new technology and thinking outside the box to develop and implement short and long-term creative solutions.

As a Software Engineer on the Google Cloud Business Platform team, you will serve as a technical architect responsible for driving the technical design and execution for our core business platforms. In this role, you will own technical designs and guide multiple engineering teams to build the scalable, resilient, and automated systems that power Google Cloud's lead-to-cash life-cycle. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $248,000-$349,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
