Senior Systems Engineer

What You'll Do:

As the Senior Systems Engineer, you will apply your knowledge of DoD/Navy acquisition, development, fielding, and life-cycle support of simulations, simulators, and training systems, to provide engineering support to our government customer in Orlando, FL. 

Responsibilities will include: 

• Performing market surveys, risk analysis, trade-off studies, cost estimates and Reliability, Availability, Maintainability (RAM) analysis.
• Providing technical advice on the conceptual design of simulations, simulators, and training systems required to support complex military equipment or systems.
• Applying Department of Defense (DoD) materiel acquisition processes to support the acquisition of simulations, simulators, and training systems.
• Coordinating efforts of industry and multiple DoD commands in fielding products that meet the needs of all customers.
• Staying abreast of the multiple factors affecting the program(s) and the organizations served, and the related customers, functions, resources, and users.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or related technical field of study, required
• 10 years of experience in systems engineering associated with modeling and simulation within the training and training systems domains, required
• 5 years of acquisition experience, with at least 3 of those years in direct support of a DoD program, desired
• Must be able to plan and execute complex, multi-faceted projects within established financial and time constraints.
• Demonstrated knowledge of current modeling and simulation principles, techniques, processes, regulations, and policies.

Security Clearance Requirements:

• This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Top Secret clearance. Selected candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Salary Range:

• The estimated salary range for this position will be $150,000 - $160,000 annually, based on an individual's level of experience and skill set. It is our goal at ASEC to provide equitable compensation to all employees.
