Summer Intern- Camera Prep Tech

Responsibilities

Paid Internships at Production Resource Group are educational work experiences for individuals who wish to explore a career with PRG and/or develop hands-on knowledge and skill in the business of entertainment technology. PRG provides structured yet flexible programs where interns rotate through the various functions of a particular discipline, giving them a comprehensive overview of the different aspects of the field.

 

The internship program is 12 weeks. The Summer Program runs approximately mid-May to mid-August; specific dates vary.  

 

Each Camera intern will: 

• Gain hands-on experience in the technical and operational aspects of our business. 
• Receive technical training from working industry professionals by shadowing PRG technicians and performing actual work in many areas of your discipline.  
• Learn how our operations managers and supervisors manage the workflow and receive an in-depth understanding of each worker’s responsibilities. 
• Work on daily internal projects & tasks related to supporting TV Film projects. 
• Assist with building preps, participate in staff meetings, technical development on new projects, building the PRG brand through positive client interactions and networking. 
• If business operations allow, Interns may have the opportunity to work on show site where PRG has installations such as, trade shows, corporate events and film productions.  
• May perform other incidental tasks, as needed. 

Qualifications

We are looking for applicants who are/have: 

• Basic understanding of image capture principles and a strong interest in the technologies used in the Film, TV, or Broadcast fields. 
• Interest in breaking into the TV Film Industry as a member of a camera crew. 
• All applicants must be eligible to work in the country where the internship is located.

We are looking for applicants who match ANY of the following: 

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or higher-level degree program in Film, theatre or entertainment 
• Technology specializing in any of our disciplines or a complementary field 
• Have received an appropriate degree within the past two years 
• Have appropriate background in the entertainment technology industry 

Physical demands 

• Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time

The pay range for this position is estimated to be $17 hr. Actual pay to be determined by the experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant combined with location and alignment with market data.
