Location: Richmond, VA
Shift: Full-Time, Nights (Rotating Weekends)

Compensation & Benefits:

• Hourly Pay:

  • Minimum: $35/hr

  • Midpoint: $38/hr

  • Maximum: $45/hr

• Weekend Differential: $7/hr

• Sign-On Bonus: Up to $15K (case by case)

• Relocation Assistance: Case by case basis

Job Overview:
This is an exciting opportunity for a compassionate and skilled Labor and Delivery RN to join a 12-suite unit. You will provide direct nursing care to delivering mothers and newborns while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a safe and supportive birthing experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct, patient-centered nursing care for mothers during labor and postpartum recovery.

• Work closely with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, lactation consultants, and other healthcare professionals to support the birthing process.

• Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.

• Support patient and family education throughout the labor and delivery process.

• Maintain cultural awareness and provide care with sensitivity to diversity.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.

• Licensure: Active RN license in Virginia or a current multistate compact license.

• Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting required.

  • Experience in labor and delivery preferred but not mandatory. Open to cross-training candidates from any acute care unit.

• Certifications:

  • Current BLS or BCLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).

  • NRP certification preferred.

• Unit Size: 12 beds

• Facility Size: 466 beds

• Open to candidates from all acute care units interested in cross-training.

• Non-unionized facility.
