Medical Payment Poster

As part of our growing revenue cycle team, we’re seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Billing Payment Poster to help ensure timely and accurate processing of payments and adjustments.

Position Overview:
The Medical Billing Payment Poster will be responsible for accurately posting insurance and patient payments, managing denials, and reconciling accounts in accordance with company standards. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid foundation in accounting or finance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately post payments, adjustments, and denials to patient accounts from insurance EOBs, EFTs, and patient payments.
• Reconcile daily deposits and maintain accurate financial records.
• Collaborate with the billing and collections teams to resolve discrepancies or posting errors.
• Monitor unapplied cash and ensure timely resolution.
• Generate and review payment posting reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist in month-end closing and account reconciliations.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and uphold data security protocols.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in medical billing with a focus on payment posting.
• Familiarity with EOBs, insurance payers, and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and EMR (e.g., eClinical, Epic, etc.).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
