Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Utility Asset Management Specialist to be based in Baltimore, MD. Serves as a capable professional supporting water, wastewater and stormwater utility condition assessment, data management and asset management initiatives.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Supports various field activities which may include but is not limited to leading or overseeing utility inspection or condition assessment, environmental surveys, GPS data collection, or project safety reviews.
- Prepares and modifies maps, inspection plans, conceptual designs or other similar documentation.
- Provides data management and maintenance support for utility databases, with a focus on Geographic Information Systems (GIS) using mobile, desktop and web-based platforms.
- Develops alternate technical solutions and design options in support of project team, including evaluation and assessment of data collection, inspection and condition assessment technologies.
- Develops and/or implements the results of reports, opinions, or recommendations to address utility management challenges.
- Responsible for communication and collaboration with full project delivery team and client.
- Oversees and coordinates the technical work for projects and tasks consistent with experience.
- Develops and leads technical approach and criteria for a design element,and coordinates complex work.
- Ensures compliance to Quality Assurance and Health and Safety Procedures.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- BA/BS plus four years or relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with databases and GIS technology.
- NASSCO M/P/PACP certification
- Experience with utilizing computerized maintenance management systems
- Experience with facility condition assessments
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Articulate and confident, with excellent presentation skills (both oral and written)
