Responsibilities:

A co-op/internship with MPC’s Value Chain Organization (VCO) can provide you with a valued experience needed to work in today’s competitive environment while delivering efficient and innovative solutions.

MPC VCO internships offer exposure to different areas of our business. With the potential to have multiple sessions and opportunities, you will gain valuable real-world experience while enhancing your skill set in the following position:

As an MPC VCO intern you will play a role in optimizing business processes through data-driven insights and algorithmic solutions. The VCO intern will work closely with business stakeholders to transform business requirements into formalized processes and mathematical algorithms. This role will involve creating workflows, decision trees, and algorithms that align with business goals and operational constraints, which will ultimately be implemented by a technical team to support day-to-day operations.

    Qualifications:

    • Desired Majors: Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or a related field.

    • Strong academic performance.

    • Candidates must be authorized to work in the US on a full-time indefinite basis without the need for employment visa sponsorship now or in the future. 

    • Concurrent enrollment in a bachelor's degree (or higher) seeking program for the duration of the experience.

    • Military experience a plus.

    • Must be able to provide reliable transportation to and from place of work.

    • Availability to work 40 hours per week.
