Job Description
The Clinic Nurse Development Coordinator is responsible to coordinate and provide clinical education and training to all clinical areas of KVH clinics in coordination with the Clinic Director of Nursing and the MA Development Coordinator. The learning environment may include presentation (live and video), skill demonstration, bedside instruction, online modules, electronic clinical documentation, and independent learning modules. The Clinic Nurse Development Coordinator is responsible for clinical education in (but not limited to) new hire orientation, annual competencies, organization strategic initiatives, implementation of new equipment, implementation of significant new processes, and other organization educational needs as assigned. The Clinic Nurse Development Coordinator also assists in developing and determining clinical competencies and will track compliance and work directly with employees to promote compliance regarding mandatory and required clinical competencies. The Clinic Nurse Development Coordinator will provide clinical guidance to the MA Development Coordinator and may participate in MA trainings and provide training on MA tasks to all staff as needed. Additionally, they will also create and update clinical standard works, policies, and procedures and participate and lead project work as needed.
Qualifications
What is required...
- Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) degree & currently licensed in the State of Washington
- Current CPR card (maintenance required)
- Recent nursing experience in a clinic setting
- Previous experience with presenting to groups and/or individuals
What is preferred...
- Experience in formal clinical education and development of educational programs
- Preceptor, mentorship, and/or leadership nursing experience
- Master’s degree in Nursing Education
- Nurse Educator Certification through the National League for Nursing
Additional Information
Wage: Wage range starts at $43.73/hour and goes up to $66.28/hour. Actual wage will be based on years' of applicable experience.
FTE: .4 (16 hours/week)
