Senior Payroll Analyst

We are in search of a detail-oriented senior payroll analyst to perform and coordinate accounting duties within our organization. Your responsibilities include preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, preparing tax returns, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- A solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and strong financial analysis skills.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to work with little to no supervision and perform under pressure.
- QuickBooks experience
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Coordinate accounting functions and programs.
- Prepare financial analyses and reports.
- Prepare revenue projections and forecasting expenditure.
- Assist with preparing and monitoring budgets.
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
- Assist with annual audit preparations.
- Investigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
- Prepare federal, state, local, and special tax returns.
- Contribute to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
- Perform other accounting duties and supporting junior staff as required or assigned.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- 7+ years of accounting experience.
- Working knowledge of tax laws and GAAP.
- Strong financial analysis skills.
- Familiarization with the creation and maintenance of an Annual Operation Plan (AOP).
- Working knowledge of relevant operating systems, software, and programming for the position.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Good organization, time and stress management skills, and prioritization
- Efficient troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work with little to no supervision.
- Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work efficiently under pressure.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting or finance required.
- QuickBooks experience.
- Proficient with virtual meeting applications such as Teams and Zoom.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word).
- People person with excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Active listener with strong oral and written comprehension skills.
