GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage a team of agile coaches, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure the successful Product delivery.
  • Be able to recognize and orchestrate scalable process improvement opportunities to improve product intake, prioritization, and delivery.
  • Lead the Value Stream related Agile transformation by designing and implementing strategies, frameworks, and practices tailored to our organization's unique needs and challenges.
  • Maintain and evolve common usage of tooling for roadmaps, OKRs, forecasting, Pre-planning and planning, estimation and intake processes.
  • Drive consistency among Engineers, Product Owners and Product Managers to ensure all teams and Value streams continue to improve their quality, roadmap predictability, and speed to market.
  • Plan and design the adoption of Agile across multiple teams, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
  • Foster a culture of openness, collaboration, and psychological safety, where team members feel empowered to experiment, innovate, and learn from failures.
  • Identify skills and competency gaps and provide recommendations for targeted and measurable improvement strategies.
  • Develop an operating model or roadmap for future Agile practices, outlining key milestones, success metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead by example, embodying values such as transparency, accountability, collaboration, and customer focus in all aspects of work.


EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

SAFe SPC or equivalent Agile certifications are required.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Agile coaching and transformation roles.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading Agile transformations in large organizations, driving cultural change and achieving measurable business outcomes.
  • Excellent leadership and people management abilities, with a focus on building high-performing teams and cultivating a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Strong coaching, facilitation, and communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire change at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to develop solutions to complex problems and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proven performance in a product management role within an Agile/SAFe context
  • Experience with data analysis and OKR tracking, with a focus on using data to drive decision-making and measure success.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and product management tools, Jira, Rally, Aha!, etc
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans, drive results, and adapt to evolving business needs and priorities.


FIS JOB LEVEL DESCRIPTION
Senior director level role. Excellent knowledge of the field with strong leadership skills. Directs and controls technology development activities in area of responsibility, perhaps through subordinate managers/supervisors to ensure achievement of annual objectives. Responsible for policies and procedures and a full range of components within development programs such as developing strategies and objectives. Resolves issues and contributes to development of area or responsibility. Establishes operational objectives and work plans and delegates assignments to subordinates. Involved in developing, modifying and executing policies that affect immediate operations and may have a broader impact to the area or responsibility. Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives of the enterprise and/or the client’s business. Implements strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria to obtain results. Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans and performance requirements. Regularly interacts with senior management or executive levels within the enterprise and/or client organizations. Requires the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from, others in sensitive situations without damaging the relationship. Authority for hire, fire, performance appraisal, and pay review decisions. Regularly interacts with executives and/or major customers. Expected to be primary mentor for others on staff and is a role model for rest of team. Ability to provide communication on issues or complex information to a wide audience based on knowledge. Participates as a senior member in strategic planning and direction. Typically requires ten plus related applications development experience with at least six years leadership responsibility for large applications development functions.
