We're currently recruiting for a Medical Bill Reviewer to support our Workers’ Compensation Medical Bill Review Unit.
This position will be located at our Stevens Point, WI office.
What You'll Do
- Review, evaluate, and process workers’ compensation bills
- Follow established state and federal medical bill review rules and regulations
- Communicate with medical providers regarding payment or denial of payment
- Research and interpret state fee schedules.
- Complete routine bill review activities for accurate pricing and payment of medical bills
What it Takes
- Technical diploma or equivalent work experience
- Associate Degree in Health Informatics/Health Information/Medical Coding preferred.
- 1-3 years of related work experience preferred.
- Experience in a medical office, insurance environment, or medical coding beneficial.
- CCA, CCS-P, or RHIT credentials preferred.
- Basic knowledge of ICD10, CPT, HCPCS codes necessary for accurate processing.
- PC knowledge including Excel as well as keyboarding, math aptitude, and organizational skills.
- Proficient analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to work independently.
- High level of communication, customer service, and telephone skills required.
- Ability to work within deadlines, maintain confidentiality, and work with detail and a high level of accuracy is essential.
