Responsibilities
Works collaboratively as a senior member of the Business Intelligence & Reporting team under direction of KSC Application Technology Leadership. Supports, develops, and maintains SQL database environments and related technology. Acts as a team member on multi-team projects and uses advanced skill set to develop, test, troubleshoot, and support database-related projects and associated solutions/applications. Acts as mentor to others learning essential and advanced SQL-related skills.

Salary Range: $112,303 - $138,728 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)
Qualifications
Education
Required: Bachelor’s degree in a technical area or equivalent work experience
Preferred: Advanced degree preferred
Experience
Required: Minimum of six years experience in SQL database administration
Preferred: Previous SQL database-related work experience in a healthcare industry, large-scale data
warehousing, and/or exposure to Epic Systems Clarity.
License(s)
Required: Valid Texas driver’s license
Preferred: N/A
Special Skills
Required: Advanced technical competency in one or more of the following:
MS SQL Server Administration
MS SQL Transact SQL Programming (T-SQL)
MS SQL Data Transformation Services (DTS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) programming.
Performance Tuning of Hardware & MS SQL Server.
MS SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)
MS SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
Demonstrates an advanced understanding of the following:
Database modeling / normalization
Indexing strategies and maintenance
Backup and recovery models
Clustering and high availability
Preferred: Advanced certification including:
MCDBA
MCTS
MCITP
Vendor Certified SQL Administrator
Other database-related certification/s.
Other
Required: Flexibility and the ability to adapt to change.
Proven communication, presentation, analytical, problem solving, technical and writing skills.
Candidates must have a positive “can do” attitude and a professional demeanor.
