Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.Looking for a software developer ready for a new challenge with skills including Golang, Kubernetes, observability.
About SaaS Observability Engineering:
Oracle’s SaaS Observability Engineering team deliver highly reliable and versatile observability solutions internally to Oracle’s SaaS engineering teams.
Observability refers to monitoring and metrics, logging, tracing, profiling, etc. Having good observability solutions that provide deeper visibility into SaaS technology stack is essential to provide highly reliable and performant products to Oracle’s customers. Also good observability is critical to empower SaaS engineering teams to develop and maintain modern, distributed applications.
Our mission is bringing better observability to SaaS.
About Observability:
SaaS applications running in Kubernetes are instrumented to emit metrics, logs, and traces natively. These telemetry data are collected, processed, and persisted in the multiple telemetry backends where they are searched and visualized.
We want to improve this pipeline so we can observe applications with less or no instrumentation at very low overhead and process tens of petabytes of telemetry data per day in a flexible and scalable way. We primarily use Golang. We want to be deeply involved into OpenTelemetry, eBPF, and machine learning.
We need people who are passionate for performance, reliability, scalability and enjoy taking projects from conception to production and ensuring the health of production services.
We’re remote-friendly. We work in many offices and home offices globally. We need people who can work independently and communicate well.
Job Requirements:
- Familiarity with programming languages like Go, C, Java or Rust
- Capability to write clean, reliable and performant software
- Experience with network programming or distributed systems development
- Experience with clouds and Kubernetes
Nice to haves:
- Experience with the monitoring space in general (metrics, logging, tracing, profiling)
