About the role

Position Summary

Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity for a Cyberspace Defense Analysis (CDA) Server Solution Analyst SME to support the United States Air Force at Lackland AFB. This role provides advanced technical expertise in the areas of systems engineering, server administration, network engineering, and data loss prevention (DLP) technologies to support the CDA weapon system. The Analyst SME will apply comprehensive acquisition and sustainment knowledge, deliver strategic solutions, and adapt commercial and government hardware/software to operational environments through the Cyber Agile Acquisition.

Responsibilities

In this Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) role, you will provide expert-level support to Department of Defense (DoD) programs by assisting government leadership with decision-making, planning, and execution throughout the acquisition lifecycle. You will apply your technical and/or professional expertise to ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulations, contribute to mission success, and help deliver critical capabilities to the warfighter.

 

Duties include, but not limited to: 

  • Provide expert-level technical contributions to adapt commercial and government off-the-shelf hardware/software into the CDA weapon system production environment.

  • Apply acquisition and sustainment principles across all lifecycle phases (MSA, TMRR, EMD, Production/Deployment, O&S).

  • Independently decompose emerging cyber requirements into component-level solutions and integrate these into the CDA system baseline.

  • Engage with the AF Cyber Operations, Requirements, Test communities, and industry partners (e.g., Fidelis, Solar Winds, F5) to develop and refine system solutions.

  • Generate multiple solution alternatives, enabling cost, schedule, and performance trade-offs to support acquisition decisions.

  • Prepare and deliver acquisition and program documentation including briefings, technical plans, reports, and cost estimates.

  • Provide technical leadership and input to Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) for sustainment modifications, system planning, and rapid reaction requirements.

  • Support project management, logistics, and training considerations to ensure successful integration of solutions.

  • Collaborate closely with MAJCOM requirements owners, acquisition teams, and operational warfighters in high-intensity environments.

  • Utilize advanced cyber and networking domain expertise to support system security, firewall/gateway integration, and DLP monitoring enhancements.

Qualifications

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

 

Minimum Required Qualifications

Clearance: Must have an active Top Secret Clearance

Education: BA/BS degree with 5 years of relevant experience supporting ACAT III or higher programs; or MA/MS degree with 3 years of relevant experience.

  • Recognized SME with advanced technical/professional expertise in cyberspace defense, systems engineering, server/network administration, or related fields.

  • Demonstrated ability to perform complex tasks under time-sensitive conditions.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio).

  • Familiarity with the CDA Weapon System or equivalent Data Loss Prevention monitoring systems.

  • Hands-on experience with cyber hardware/software integration, system sustainment, and solution trade-off analysis.
