Amentum is dedicated to delivering exceptional quality and service at NASA Ames Research Center. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance team and ensure the smooth and efficient operation of NASA’s facilities and equipment.
We are looking for a motivated Maintenance Supervisor to join our team and support our efforts with buildings, utility, and grounds maintenance.
This is a full-time position, with benefits that you can enroll in which includes - Health, Dental, Vision, Short and Long Term Disability, 401k, Paid Holidays, PTO, and Paid Sick Leave. The salary range for this position is $96,700 - $150,000.
Maintenance Supervisor Responsibilities
The Maintenance Manager plays a crucial role in our organization, overseeing the maintenance and repair of all equipment, systems, and infrastructure to ensure optimal functionality and safety. This position requires a strong leader with exceptional technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage a team effectively. Some of the key responsibilities include:
1. Team Leadership:
· Lead, mentor, and manage a team of unionized maintenance technicians and staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence.
· Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills of the maintenance team.
2. Health and Safety:
· Enforce safety protocols and ensure that all maintenance work is carried out in compliance with safety regulations.
· Conduct safety audits and promote a culture of safety within the maintenance team.
3. Maintenance Operations:
· Execute a preventive maintenance program to ensure the regular inspection and servicing of all equipment, machinery, and facilities.
· Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, plumbing, life safety, and other issues and coordinate repairs efficiently.
· Improve the reliability of equipment and machinery essential to critical missions using a Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) approach that includes Predictive Testing and Inspection (PT&I) data gathering and analysis.
· Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including equipment manuals, work orders, and maintenance schedules.
4. Budget and Resource Management:
· Manage resources within the assigned budgets and schedules.
· Work closely with the business office to procure necessary tools, equipment, and materials for maintenance tasks.
