Qualifications
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician for our healthcare division to join our team in the narrow web flexographic printing industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our printing machinery, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance. This position operates on a split shift from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on narrow web flexographic printing machines. This includes cleaning, lubrication, part replacement, and calibration.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software issues with printing equipment. Implement solutions to keep production running smoothly.
• Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular preventive maintenance checks as per the maintenance schedule to prevent machine breakdowns.
• Documentation: Keep accurate records of all maintenance activities, parts used, and service history for each machine.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with safety regulations and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) where required.
• Inventory Management: Assist in managing inventory of spare parts and tools, ensuring availability for timely repairs.
• Collaboration: Work closely with production staff to understand operational needs and plan maintenance activities accordingly.
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanical or electrical maintenance preferred.
• Experience in machine maintenance, preferably in the printing or manufacturing industry.
• Basic understanding of flexographic printing processes and equipment.
• Good manual dexterity, mechanical aptitude, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and management.
• Physical capability to handle tasks that require standing, bending, lifting, and working in various positions.
Skills:
• Proficient with hand and power tools.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and possibly for machine diagnostics.
• Commitment to quality and attention to detail.
