(Senior) Cloud Infrastructure Architect (d/f/m)

<p> </p> <p><b>​RWE Supply &amp; Trading GmbH<br/> To start as soon as possible, full time / part time, permanent</b></p> <p><b>About the Role </b></p> <p>IT Strategy &amp; Architecture is integral part of our RWE IT Infrastructure function. Working with our business and infrastructure teams we identify innovation and change opportunities to improve our services, define our future roadmap, and support our operational teams to implement leading infrastructure services to be used across the RWE Group of companies. </p> <p> </p> <p>With a specific focus on public cloud your role will include, </p> <ul> <li>Supporting cloud adoption, including teams inside and outside IT, through advising on solutions, building reference architectures and providing implementation guidance. </li> <li>Support to manage organizational risks, promote the use of good practices, and successfully support the management of cloud providers and associated costs </li> <li>Support the operation of a cloud community within RWE, bringing together stakeholders, collaboration and encouraging the sharing of cloud knowledge and skills. </li> <li>Development and pro-active collaboration in accordance with our technology strategy in close cooperation with EA/architects across the group. </li> <li>Input to the infrastructure roadmap in conjunction with our infrastructure domains defining appropriate milestones aligned with business and technology priorities. </li> <li>Establishing and maintaining productive business relationships with IT, suppliers and customers for a common IT business architecture and technical architecture environment. </li> <li>Ensure that new technical solutions and applications integrate with the existing infrastructure landscape. </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p><b>Job requirements and experience  </b></p> <ul> <li>Minimum 5 years’ experience in public cloud &amp; public cloud architecture, and 10+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure. </li> <li>Extensive knowledge of various cloud services / architecture models: "Infrastructure as a Service" (IaaS); “Platform as a Service” (PaaS); "Software as a Service" (SaaS).  </li> <li>Strong consulting skills such as targeted communications, engagement management, stakeholder management and business development.   </li> <li>Excellent analytical, planning, and organizational skills.   </li> <li>Excellent communication skills - oral and written, in English. </li> <li>Vendor- and technology-neutral — more interested in achieving targeted business outcomes than in personal preferences, or in vested personal preferences of other business and IT leaders. </li> <li>A creative problem solver that leads by example – Inspiring and motivates others by demonstrating drive and passion.  </li> <li>Broad knowledge and understanding of IT security concepts and methodologies. </li> <li>Very good facilitation and presentation skills and the ability to present complex information to both a technical and non-technical audience. </li> <li>Experience with project and financial planning.   </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><b>Advantageous, but not a must</b></p> <ul> <li>German communication skills a significant advantage. </li> <li>Familiarity with information management practices, system development life cycle management, IT services management, agile and lean methodologies, infrastructure and operations, and EA and ITIL frameworks.  </li> <li>Knowledge of application development, service-oriented architecture (SOA), APIs, open data, microservices, event-driven IT and predictive analytics.  </li> <li>Cloud operational experience and/or consulting experience. </li> <li>Experience working in agile teams in a cross-functional and international environment. </li> <li>Person should have experience in data centre technologies. </li> <li>Active Directory &amp; Network is plus. </li> </ul> <p> <br/> <b>Your benefits   </b></p> <p>We really appreciate you going the extra mile and using every ounce of energy when the heat is on.
