Summary of Job Duties:

The UACCM Adult Education English/ESL Teacher works under the supervision of the Director of Adult Education and will be responsible for providing instruction to individuals with a variety of personal goals, including: learning the English language, improving basic skills, gaining digital literacy skills, and/or earning an Arkansas High School Diploma through the GED® examination process. This full-time position will be assigned to the UACCM Adult Education facility in Morrilton. Evening and weekend hours may be required.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Provide instruction to adults whose native language is not English.

Teach basic skills/concepts in reading, language, and mathematics.

Build instructional activities around the four interdependent components of reading: alphabetics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.

Assist with the administration of the TABE CLAS-E assessment.
