Field Service Engineer

Job Description

As a Field Service Representative for a high-tech growth business serving the Chemical Analysis markets, you will be responsible for installs, familiarization, repairs, IQ/OQ for ICP-MS, ICP-QQQ, ICP-OES, MP-AES, AA, FT-IR, and UV-VIS spectroscopy products.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as an Agilent ambassador to all customers

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Self-motivated

• Site prep calls prior to installations

• Perform on-site installations

• Conduct customer training sessions

• Repair and troubleshoot hardware

• Carry out routine preventative maintenance, qualifications, and verification services

• Provide high-quality services to customers

• Adhere to environmental health and safety guidelines

• Manage your own travel needs

• Complete administrative work in a timely manner

• Manage parts inventory

• Stay current with technical and corporate training

• Provide feedback to manufacturing divisions

• Collaborate with sales teams to grow and support the business

• Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge for assigned products

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Sciences (STEM degree)

• Strong logical troubleshooting skills

• 8+ years’ experience with spectroscopy instrumentation (ICP-MS, ICP-OES, MP-AES, AA, FT-IR, UV-VIS)

• Hands-on maintenance, installation, and repair experience with analytical instruments is desirable

• Knowledge in environmental, geological, and metallurgical analysis applications is highly desirable

• Strong customer relationship skills

• Availability for up to 90% travel, including overnight stays

• Compliance with site access requirements, including medical information, drug testing, or background checks
