Your role in our mission

• Solely responsible and accountable to the State Contracting Officer and/or designee.
• Principal manager of the Care Coordination and Case Management services.
• Serves as the DHCS point of escalation with Contractor operational staff tasked to examine and triage complicated member issues by conducting research and ensuring resolutions through recommendations and/or mediation.
• Manages and ensure that the organization is providing adequate assistance to members with navigating the Medi-Cal Dental Program policies, and identifies/ resolves systemic barriers to member utilization of service and access to care.
• Serves as the public face of Contractor operations on behalf of DHCS, attends stakeholder and oversight meetings with DHCS staff to capture and track issues and/or respond to member complaints.

What we're looking for

• A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of four (4) years of experience assisting the general public in navigating a government or private healthcare system. A Master’s degree in Public Health or equivalent preferred. 
• Prior experience in State law and regulations regarding member rights (previous work or policy experience with evaluating and addressing health care disparities and working with under-represented populations), and health care insurance programs preferred. 
• Five years (5) of prior experience providing or assisting in the provision of services to the Medicaid member population (prior experience with Medicaid dental programs preferred), and a demonstrated understanding of the Program policy environment. 
• Exemplary customer service skills. 
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.

The pay range for this position is [[salaryMin]] - [[salaryMid]] per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
