POSITION SUMMARY
The Process & Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, enhancing, and implementing systems that increase efficiency and optimize all phases of service or production process, from design to manufacturing. The Process & Manufacturing Engineer will assist with coordinating projects and work with teams to enhance development, team understanding and the timely production.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Works with teams and on specific projects.
• Assists with process design projects and ensures the efficient and safe functioning of all the processes related to producing a product, substance, or service.
• Assists with design processes and equipment related to the development and commercialization of products or services that are cost effective and within budget.
• Evaluates existing processes, suggests measures for improvement, and configures manufacturing systems to reduce cost, improve sustainability, boost productivity, quality, and profitability, and develops best practices within the production process.
• Supports methods and process designs, creates prototypes, tests, and makes necessary modifications where required.
• Reviews tests on systems for efficiency and accuracy until a quality and cost-effective production process is implemented successfully.
• Works with other professionals such as scientists and other engineers on development and research projects.
• Additional duties as assigned.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, chemistry, or material science or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2-5 years of previous process engineering experience required.
• Occasional travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
• High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
• Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).
• Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
• Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.
• Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
• Ability to work with and influence peers and management.
• Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.

• Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; and talk, hear and see.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• The noise level in the work environment may be high.
