Kontoor Brands’ Summer Intern Program is packed with projects, networking socials, cross-functional learning, and the chance to connect with industry trailblazers like our Executive Leadership Team. Previous interns have taken on projects as subject matter experts and social architects to engineer solutions through social media, Go-To-Market strategies, and denim designs. Participants can also take advantage of opportunities to explore interests in Social Issues, Sustainability, Career Fairs, Community Outreach and more. Our 10-week, full-time paid internship runs from June 3rd to August 8th. Start your journey with us and take your career to the next level!

Program Overview:

  • 10-week term: June 3rd to August 8th
  • Full-time paid internship
  • Must be local or willing to relocate to Greensboro, NC

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program at a College/University and able to receive a paid internship
  • Eligible to work in the US without restrictions
  • Have previously demonstrated leadership skills through school, extracurricular activities and/or community involvement
  • Exceptional at taking on challenges and using your particular set of skills to create solutions
  • A self-starter, ability to work with others in a team environment, with a passion for helping others
  • Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)

Project Role: Global Textile Sourcing

As a member of the Global Textile Sourcing team, you will be a key member driving the fabric strategy and selection process for Lee and Wrangler. Working closely with our Design/ Merchandising/ Product Development teams to help drive cross functional alignment and rationalization of our fabric portfolio based on trends, technical fabric construction and wash capabilities. 

                               

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Organize and maintain Kontoor’s fabric library to enhance fabric selection process and collaboration across brands and business units
  • Review and communication of strategic fabric counter sourcing to achieve approvals and mitigate risk in the supply chain
  • Technical review of fabric properties to drive fabric rationalization and increase efficiencies
  • Participation in Mill fabric presentations to ensure Kontoor’s fabric and sustainability strategies are followed in the selection process
  • Facilitate development request presented by our Design organization to our strategic mill partners and manage the development project from initiation to adoption.

Skills for Success:

  • Organization and ability to multitask
  • Technical Skills (i.e., MS Office, Smartsheet, verbal and written communication)
  • Pursing a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Textiles or related field

Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:  

  • Lifting and/or bending 25 lbs. amount of weight
