Postdoctoral Research Fellow – Structural Proteomics

The O’Reilly lab is seeking a postdoctoral fellow who wants to join our interdisciplinary team to develop crosslinking mass spectrometry and other structural proteomics techniques to map the protein-interactomes of whole cells. We have two major avenues of study:

Discovering and characterizing novel protein complexes across the human microbiome. Understanding structural changes in human protein complexes on the path to cancer.

Requirements:

Candidates must have a Ph.D. in chemistry, biochemistry, or biological sciences with significant training and hands-on expertise in crosslinking mass spectrometry and proteomics technologies. Candidates with demonstrated quantitative proteomics experience will be preferred. Additional expertise: protein purification, mammalian and insect cell culture, and experience with integration of experimental restraints into protein complex structure prediction. Effective teamwork, communication skills, and the ability to participate in an interdisciplinary collaboration are key requirements.
