Job Description:
Provide advice and guidance to FAs for the personal retirement suite of products. This includes proactive outreach and reactive sales support. Role partners with FA and Retirement Specialist to cover an assigned territory. The role provides education as well as advice and guidance on meeting clients needs for retirement solutions, and also includes a focus on generating new client opportunities and assisting in the revenue development of the territory.
The Personal Retirement Sales Desk Specialist plays a pivotal role in delivering premier retirement and annuity solutions by proactively engaging Financial Advisors (FAs) and Retirement Specialists across an assigned territory. This role is designed to drive meaningful results through strategic outreach, consultative guidance, and a deep commitment to serving clients' best interests.
Responsibilities:
- Proactive Engagement: Initiates strategic outreach to FAs to uncover retirement planning opportunities, educates on product solutions, and supports implementation of tailored strategies that align with clients' long-term financial goals.
- Client-Centric Consultation: Serves as a trusted resource, providing professional advice and technical expertise to help FAs deliver retirement income and investment solutions that are in the best interest of their clients.
- Territory Partnership: Collaborates closely with Retirement Specialists and Wealth Management leadership to identify growth opportunities, develop revenue, and expand client relationships through thoughtful planning and execution.
- Sales Enablement: Drives annuity and retirement product sales by positioning solutions effectively, helping FAs leverage service teams for fulfillment process, and ensuring seamless coordination with third-party insurance partners.
- Education & Enablement: Delivers impactful presentations and training sessions to branch teams, reinforcing firm concepts and enhancing advisor confidence in retirement planning conversations.
- Professional Collaboration: Works in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment, consistency, and excellence in client service delivery.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ Years experience in the financial industry
- SIE, Series 7 and Series 66 registrations required at time of hire
- Variable Annuity Insurance licensing (or ability to obtain within 30 day Compliance deadline)
- Experience conducting presentations
- Experience meeting sales objectives and performing under pressure of meeting deadlines in a high-volume environment
- Understanding of Social Security and Medicare
- Experience selling complex financial products
- Excellent written skills, verbal communication and organizational abilities
- Highly self-motivated
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Desired Qualifications:
- 2+ Years experience working directly with product wholesalers and financial advisors
- 2+ Years experience with retirement and 529 products
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field
- CRPC designation holder
- Proficient in using virtual collaboration tools such as WebEx, Microsoft Teams, and similar platforms
- Skilled in navigating and utilizing Salesforce
