About the role

The Warehouse Associate performs a variety of manual and clerical duties in support of the organization’s inventory and distribution needs.  Handles inbound and outbound flow of supplies, equipment, and materials timely and safely.  Organizes inventory within the warehouse, ensuring efficient access and utilization.  Performs inventory transactions, including stock replenishment.  Conducts cycle counts, assists with inventory audits and performs other duties to ensure the efficient operation of the warehouse.

Logistics & Supplies Handling:

  • Handles inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring timely delivery and receipt of goods.  
  • Handle to Receives, stocks and transports  supplies, equipment, and materials with care to maintain integrity and prevent damage.  
  • Organize inventory within the warehouse to ensure efficient access and utilization.
  • Utilize company vehicle.

Requisitions & Inventory Management:

  • Accurately fill supply and equipment requisitions submitted by internal departments.  
  • Perform inventory transactions, including stock replenishment, checking expirations, rotating stock according to inventory best practices, and updating inventory management systems in real-time.  
  • Conducted routine cycle counts and assisted in physical inventory audits.  

Receiving & Packaging:

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.  
  • Safely package outgoing materials and equipment for distribution, following organizational and regulatory standards.  
  • Coordinate with vendors to resolve discrepancies in shipments.  

Formula Management:

  • Maintain accurate records and managed formula inventory, ensuring appropriate handling and distribution.
  • Ensure all formula inventory is accurately tracked and maintained in the Formula Inventory Management System.
  • Work closely with internal teams to monitor demand and prevent supply shortage.

Capital Equipment Management:

  • Oversee the receipt, handling, storage, and distribution of capital equipment.  

General Duties:

  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.  
  • Operate electric stackers, pallet jacks, wrapping machines, and other warehouse equipment as needed.  
  • Assist in process improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency.  
  • Provide exceptional service to internal and external customers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
     

Education and/or Experience Required:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.

Education and/or Experience Preferred:

  • Education: Associate’s Degree.
  • Experience: 2+ years in warehouse operations, supply chain or logistics preferred.

License and/or Certification Required:

  • CT Driver’s License and Clean Driving Record.

License and/or Certification Preferred:

  • OSHA Pallet Jack Certification- must be obtained within 6 months of hire.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.  
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.  
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.  
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 100 lbs). 

Skills:

  • Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.  
  • Proactive problem solver with the ability to multitask effectively.  
  • Committed to upholding safety and quality standards.

Abilities:

  • Work in a warehouse environment with occasional exposure to varying temperatures.  
  • Operate pallet jack, electric stacker, wrapping machine and similar warehouse equipment. 
  • Physical activity, including standing, walking, lifting, and operating equipment, is required.
