POSITION SPECIFICS
The laboratory of Prof. Manuel Llinás at The Pennsylvania State University seeks an outstanding Assistant Research Professor to work on projects related to transcriptional regulation of Plasmodium falciparum development.
These projects will focus on the role of ApiAP2 proteins in parasite development, single-cell transcriptional responses to parasite perturbations, and the role of liquid-liquid phase separation in transcription hubs and perturbations to cellular proteostasis Candidates with interest in the following areas of malaria parasitology are strongly encouraged to apply: ApiAP2 protein function, transcriptional regulation, RNA metabolism, gametocytogenesis, or heat shock. Candidates will be expected to lead their own individual projects as well as contributing to collaborative research efforts. Exceptional opportunities are available for highly motivated candidates with strong publication records, regardless of their specific area of expertise. Available position require a doctoral (Ph.D.) degree and several years of postdoctoral experience in a scientific discipline including biology, chemistry, or biochemistry.

Dr. Llinás is the Ernest C.
