As part of a small and highly-skilled team, you will provide technical support to our engineers and staff to support a rocket engine manufacturing facility and historic engine test stand. This role will directly support manufacturing operations as a member of the Information Technology department and reports directly to the Huntsville Supervisor of IT Support. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to high standards to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Qualifications:
- Proven track record working in an enterprise-level technical helpdesk or desktop support role for at least two years, providing various hardware/software troubleshooting and acting as an escalation point in a customer-facing position
- Extensive knowledge of Windows 10; Microsoft Office including Project and Visio; Domain account and computer management; Adobe products; Antivirus, Disk Encryption, and VPN applications
- Experience with endpoint management software platforms, desktop provisioning technologies like SCCM and PXE
- Willing to be flexible with scheduled days and hours with reasonable notice as needed during operations or on-call
- Self-starter able to work with minimal direction
- Customer-centric attitude to support and instruct computer users to provide efficient resolution of complex problems
- Able to quickly assess situations and adapt to dynamic priorities
- Must be able to obtain clearance to access Marshall Space Flight Center
- Required to be able to lift/carry up to fifty pounds as well as physically climb multiple flights of stairs, withstand prolonged standing, and work in adverse weather conditions
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion
- Occasional travel to train and/or support other locations as needed. (<10% overall)
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Desired:
- Associates or Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or related field
- Two or more years experience supporting aerospace or manufacturing
- Able to build scripts to accomplish automation tasks using common languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash, etc.)
- Certifications: A+, Network+, Security+, MTA, MCSA, MCSE
- Proficiency with Windows printing and scanning operations, including installation and support of network devices
- Ability to identify potential changes and system improvements to present to senior team leaders for consideration and implementation
- Experience with Atlassian products including writing Wiki pages in Confluence for documentation and knowledge of Jira ticketing systems
- Prior exposure to C-Suite support
